| Vasquez
Rocks is located in the Sierra Pelona Valley in the town of Aqua Dulce.
Just 44 miles north of Los Angeles off the Antelope Valley freeway (14) it
has been shelter for the Tataviam
Indians
and a hideout for the bandit Tiburcio
Vasquez for which the rocks were named. In more recent times it's
natural beauty has been seen in movies like " The Lone Ranger"
TV series, "The Flintstones", "Austin Power",
"Blazing Saddles" and many, many more. I invite you to spend the
day or spend the night in the park because it's an experience that you
will never forget! |

That gif at the top left corner of the page
is of us just getting to the rocks and this one here is when we were leaving.
These are just a couple of the rocks that we climbed. There a couple of more
rocks to
see and I hope to
have a better camera next time. Enjoy!. |
